Return, Refund, Exchange & Shipping Policy
Last updated: 13 August 2026
This policy applies to orders placed directly through Flying Hands Publications at https://pub.flyinghands.in and delivered within India. Products purchased through Amazon, Flipkart, Shopsy, a bookseller or another marketplace must be returned through that seller under its applicable policy.
1. Return window for printed books
You may request a return of an eligible printed book within 7 calendar days after delivery. We accept eligible returns for both defective and non-defective printed books, subject to the conditions below. Contact us before sending any item; an unapproved parcel may not be accepted or traceable.
2. Eligible returns
Damaged, defective, incorrect or incomplete orders
If a printed book arrives damaged, has a manufacturing defect, is different from what you ordered, or an item is missing, notify us within 7 days after delivery. Send your order number, an explanation, clear photographs of the product and outer packaging, and an unboxing video when reasonably available. After verification, we will offer an appropriate replacement, exchange or refund. We bear the reasonable return and replacement shipping cost for a verified seller or transit error.
Non-defective printed books
A non-defective printed book may be returned within the same 7-day window if it is unused, unread, unmarked and resalable, with its original invoice, packaging, accessories and promotional items. The customer is responsible for securely packing and paying the return shipping cost. Original delivery charges are not refunded for a change-of-mind return. No restocking fee is charged.
3. Products not eligible for return
- Digital books, downloadable files, access codes or online content after access, download or activation, except where access is technically defective or the content supplied is incorrect.
- Personalised, signed, specially printed, print-on-demand or otherwise customised books, unless damaged, defective or incorrectly supplied.
- Books showing use, reading wear, writing, highlighting, folding, staining, torn pages, missing components or damage after delivery.
- Items returned after the applicable window or without prior approval, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
4. Exchanges
Eligible printed books may be exchanged within 7 days after delivery. For a verified damaged, defective or incorrect item, we will arrange an exchange without additional shipping charges. For a non-defective exchange, the customer pays the return shipping and any shipping charge for the replacement. Any price difference must be paid before dispatch; if the replacement costs less, the remaining eligible amount will be refunded.
5. How to request a return or exchange
- Email support@flyinghands.in or contact us at +91 +91 9233621295 within 7 days after delivery.
- Provide your name, order number, delivery date, item name, reason for the request, and the required photographs or video.
- Wait for written approval and return instructions. Do not send a parcel to the registered/business address unless our support team confirms the return address.
- After approval, dispatch the item by a trackable service within 5 calendar days and retain the receipt and tracking number.
6. Inspection and refund
We inspect returned items after receipt. If approved, the refund will be initiated within 7 business days to the original payment method where possible. Banks and payment providers may require additional time to credit the amount. If the original payment method cannot receive the refund, we may request verified bank details. We will notify you if a return does not meet this policy and explain the available options.
7. Order cancellation
You may request cancellation before an order is dispatched or enters printing/production. If cancellation is possible, the eligible amount will be refunded. Once a printed-book order has been dispatched, use the return process after delivery. A customised or print-on-demand order cannot normally be cancelled after production begins unless we agree otherwise.
8. Shipping and delivery
Orders are generally processed and dispatched within 2–5 business days. Print-on-demand or customised orders may require 5–10 business days before dispatch. Estimated transit time and shipping charges, when applicable, are displayed during checkout or communicated before payment. Delivery time depends on the destination, courier serviceability, public holidays and events outside our reasonable control.
Please provide a complete address and reachable telephone number. If delivery fails because the address is incorrect or incomplete, the recipient is unavailable, or the parcel is refused without a valid product issue, any reshipping or return-to-origin charge may be payable by the customer.
9. Lost or undelivered shipments
If tracking shows an unusual delay, loss or delivery that you did not receive, contact us promptly. We will investigate with the courier. Once the claim is verified, we will arrange reshipment, replacement or refund as appropriate.
10. Publishing services
Publishing-service fees cover agreed editing, design, formatting, registration, printing and setup work. Before substantive work begins, a cancellation request may be considered after deducting payment-processing charges and the value of any completed work. Once substantive or customised work has begun, the completed portion is non-refundable. Any project-specific written agreement takes precedence to the extent it provides more specific terms.
